Investigation on the Modeling and Dynamic Characteristics of a Novel Hydraulic Proportional Valve Driven by a Voice Coil Motor

As the key control component of water hydraulic systems, proportional valve has a significant influence on performance systems. Due to poor viscosity and lubricity water, spool resistance is large non-linear. In this study, novel fast-response presented. The actuator adopts voice coil motor (VCM), which advantages fast response, high precision small volume. order realize valve, lever amplifier designed obtain enough actuation force. A detailed precise non-linear mathematical model considering both valve’s structural parameters VCM electromagnetic characteristics developed. comprehensive simulation analysis been carried out, mainly divided into an simulation, magnifier, dynamic valve. results show that adjusting time about 28ms, maximum overshoot 5 %. step response rise 15 ms. test rig have built. prototype optimal stroke range 4 mm mm. around 10 %; 30 ms in opening process 35 closing process. prove good static performance.
